Relationship between 5G millimeter wave and jammer

　　Millimeter waves generally refer to electromagnetic waves with a wavelength of 1 to 10 mm and a frequency of 30 to 300 GHz. In the millimeter wave frequency band, an ultra-large bandwidth communication system up to 800 MHz can be constructed, with a communication rate of up to 10 Gbit/s, which can meet the requirements of the ITU for 5G communication systems. 　　The domestic 5G system below 6 GHz has been fully commercialized on November 1, 2019, and the industry's attention is shifting to the follow-up evolution of 5G and 5G millimeter wave systems. The millimeter wave industry chain has carried out a lot of research on high-frequency device performance [5], beamforming and beam management algorithms [6], link characteristics, etc. [7]. Operators have also begun to consider 5G millimeter wave deployment and application issues from the perspective of system applications [8-10]. Reference [9] analyzes the key technologies of the millimeter wave system and puts forward work recommendations to promote the development of the millimeter wave industry. Reference [10] proposes several main deployment scenarios for millimeter waves, and further proposes equipment and terminal development requirements and network deployment plans.

　　However, judging from the feedback from many industry conferences, all parties in the communications industry are still unclear about the millimeter wave industry route and lack confidence in the millimeter wave industry. The reason is that the current 5G has just been deployed, and there is no killer application, and millimeter wave deployment lacks the promotion of business needs. Second, there is a lack of systematic analysis on the positioning of the millimeter wave communication system in the communication system and the development of the millimeter wave system industry, which has led to divergence in the industry's expectations of the millimeter wave industry scale. Third, the current domestic millimeter wave industry chain is relatively weak, and the equipment and terminals cannot meet the deployment needs in the short term, and the industry chain still needs a certain amount of development time.

　　At present, the specific plan of my country's millimeter wave spectrum has not been officially released. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved the 24.75~27.5 GHz and 37~42.5 GHz frequency bands for my country’s 5G technology research and development millimeter wave experimental frequency bands in July 2017. The test sites were the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology Laboratory and Beijing Huairou and Shunyi’s 5G technology Test the field. The domestic IMT-2020 (5G) promotion group established a high-frequency discussion group to formulate industry standards such as millimeter-wave key technical requirements and millimeter-wave field performance test methods. Currently, radio frequency test specifications have been defined and internal and external field tests have begun. In 2019, we will focus on verifying 5G millimeter wave key technologies and system characteristics; in 2020, we will focus on verifying the functions, performance and interoperability of millimeter wave base stations and terminals; and from 2020 to 2021, we will carry out verification of typical scenarios.
